Title: Action Comics #544
Post by: NotSuper on October 27, 2004, 02:44:14 PM
Will Action Comics #544 ever be scanned and put on the site? I've always wanted to read that story. The cyber-organic Brainiac was probably my favorite version of the character, and the final fate of Lexor is something I really want to see.

The Great Rao is the owner of this site and the one who scans and upload the comics here. It would be hard for him to scan a comic he didn't have. I do not know if he has it or not, but if he doesn't have it then he can not scan it.

Super Monkey, what happened to your face?

I have Action 544.  The last time I read it, I decided that I didn't want to scan it because I thought it wasn't appropriate for the site.  I don't remember exactly why I thought that.

I'll dig it out again and see what I think.

I'm guessing it might be because Marv Wolfman wrote the Brainiac story.  I think you've gone on record as not liking Marv's take on Superman.

There's also the issue of Murphy Anderson's inks on the Luthor story.  They're very fine-lined and didn't print well on DC's crappy paper of the time.  I imagine scanning them wouldn't help matters much.

How did Marv Wolfman portray the Bronze Age Superman exactly? The only Bronze Age story of his I’ve read that featured Superman was Crisis On Infinite Earths (a story I really liked, despite the post-Crisis era being less than super)
