Title: superman:showcase 1 question Post by: Anonymous on January 25, 2006, 07:10:34 PM what era are these comics from.. it's seems to me it's very early 40's style of superman as the S isignia flucataes and we have stories of futuremenfrom the year 2000 which wouldnt have made since at a later date.. even the 60's.

I don't think that being from the year 2000 made sense even in 1959 (when the story was written)... or that the world would believe that Superman was an escaped refugee space pirate despite having been a superhero since childhood... or how weirdly drawn Pa Kent looked in that flashback (vs. the usual appearances of him at the time)... guess can see why E.
