Far beyond just a mere comic book hero, Superman has be used for many different things , including fine art.
Andy Warhol did many Superman paintings and prints.
I will post my two favorites here:

I really wish the original artists, like Curt Swan would have been given a share of the money Warhol made off those.
And is it just me, or is that sixth one "Super-Elvis"?

Curt Swan (and Murphy Anderson) should definitely have gotten the money for the second painting "Superman 1981", since the image is lifted directly from page two of
Action Comics
#430 (December 1973). That's just a classic Swanderson Superman.

Anyone agree that the Silver Age Superman "looked" better than the Byrned ersion did? And I am just not saying that due to the SA edition's vastly enhanced powers.
