If I had known I only had to wait 20 years more for them to be collected...

But it is nice to have these collected in handy paperback volumes. The JLA/JSA crossovers were always one of the high points of my youthful summers. Off topic a bit, has anyone noticed the Superman/Flash races are due to be collected in a similar manner this summer? Another must buy! Title: Re: Crisis On Multiple Earths : Complete guide Post by: Captain Kal on January 21, 2005, 05:45:40 PM I liked all the Pre Crisis Superman vs the Flash races, though the reprint of "The Race to the End of the Universe" that came along with the version on Nightwing's site is a close contender for the best, IMHO. The race around the world was not a true race in that they were clearly limited by the rules to not use their true top speeds. The fastest they ran then was 140 mps which is a far cry from even lightspeed when either of them could easily go 10 x C. The other story implied they were going all out on a racecourse more worthy of their vast super-speed.

The only one of these stories I've read is the one on Nightwing's website.
Back to the original topic: has anyone heard whether there will be a Crisis on Multiple Earths Volume 4 this year? I have originals of the JLA/JSA team-ups from 1969 thru 1980, but I'll still buy the collections. The big question is whether Volume 4 will cover three years (7 issues) or four years (9 issues). The 1976 team-up was three issues, but the story pages per issue were much smaller in 1975 and 1976 (17-18 pages) compared to 1977 (32-34 pages) and 1978 (25 pages). Here's hoping they go for four years. |
