Jonathan & Martha Kent's first names were not consistently stated for many years in the comics. This confusion continued until the early 1950s when Clark's parents began making regular appearances. This also led to confusion on the tv show where, in the pilot episode, they were called Eben and Sarah. The next time they appeared on the series (and thereafter), they were called Jonathan and Martha.
For the first two seasons of the Adventures of Superman, his costume was brown and white. This was due to the fact that red and blue blend together when filmed in black & white. After that, the series was filmed in color and, even though the television episodes continued to air for a while from black & white prints, the costume was changed to red and blue.
If you noticed that the cast members almost always wear exactly the same clothes, there's a good reason. The budget was so small for the show that the shot all scenes in Perry White's office, for example, on the same day for multiple episodes. Apparently, they didn't even allow time for changes into different outfits. By the way, in this day of as high as million dollar per episode salaries, the cast of Superman was paid $200 per episode. They begged the producer to give them a raise to $250 per episode, and he gave in, but wouldn't speak to them for two weeks because he felt they were spoiled and greedy!
