Title: My FA Superman Review
Post by: Gernot on December 05, 2004, 07:37:46 AM
Well, I got mine Saturday afternoon.

After running around my apartment for a few hours holding Superman overhead shouting "WHEEE!" I'm ready to give my review of this figure.

GREAT figure!

9 points of articulation (neck, shoulders, wrists, legs, and knees)
Cloth cape (with wire on outer rim for posing)
Bright colors and a smile on his face (as Superman SHOULD have!)
NO uneven patches of paint
The \S/ is even and centralized upon his chest
Joints are firm, but not too tight
NO loose joints

Looking over this figure, one gains a bit of insight into just WHAT Siegel and Schuster were going for back in 1938. Superman looks like he's ready to put on a circus strong-man act! He's wearing sandals that lace up his thighs, as opposed to boots (his sandals and laces are the same color as his leggings, so it almost looks like he's NOT wearing footwear at all).

100% improvement over the Frank Miller Superman we got a month or so back!

THIS Superman is going in the FRONT of my display!

I'm giving this Superman 10 stars out of 10. **********

If you're only going to buy ONE Superman figure, it'd be a 3-way tie (in my opinion) between the Golden Age, Silver Age, and first Modern Age Supermen (ALL of whom recieved 10 out of 10).

To those of you awaiting delivery of YOUR figure, he'll be well worth the wait! Enjoy!
