Title: "Indentity Crisis"
Post by: Great Rao on January 08, 2005, 02:28:18 PM
This is the first part of a four part story by Tom Peyer and Mark Waid that came out in 1996.

I have very mixed feelings about putting this on the site, but for some reason I seem to have done it.  I consider it to be "alternate universe" dark-age Superman, kind of like how Lois & Clark was.

I'm going back to Maggin, Bates, and some rare stuff from the 1950s after this!

Yeah I think this modern age should be called "The Dark Ages"...forget the Iron Age.  Im keeping the profanity to an amorphous displays of puerile pulp-a-teering but..........UGH!

I loathe the non-hilarity of both Clark and Superman having long hair.   Amazing how Swan's pencils, even when butchered by the inkers, still stands out.

I guess you know what you are doing, but to me that seems like just a waste of space.

I like the dialogue fixes.  And at least now we know what happened to Superman during those fifteen years - he was replaced by Brainiac :!:
