Title: JLA/Avengers: The Collector's Edition
Post by: Super Monkey on January 11, 2005, 01:19:05 AM
This version is anything buy cheap, retailing for $75 at comic book shops and  $51.00 on-line.

This version includes two hardcover oversize books.

Does anyone here have it and is it worth the price?

Unless it comes packaged with a Superman costume and a signal watch, I'd have to say "no."  The story itself was barely worth the original cover price.  It's hard to imagine any extras that would bring the value up to $75.

If you're determined to get it, I recommend sticking with a discounter like Discount Comic Book Service (nice to deal with), Tales of Wonder (ditto) or good ol' eBay.

The only thing I buy anymore is collected editions and even then I'm not crazy enough to pay suggested retail.
