They've had the old one forever.

Time to make a joke about how that logo is set up.

Oh morning star, how your light has fallen.

Since the star of that logo is at the bottom of the its arc, the proper translation of that Bible quote seems appropriate.

It looks like a freeze frame from an animated logo.  The star will spiral around the DC.  Great logo for movies and cartoons

Specifically, it looks to me like the old Hanna-Barbera logo (the "swirling star" version from the 70's and 80's).

Still didn't see what was wrong with the "DC Bullet"... I liked that one...

How does this design rank up against the old "bullet"?

I'll give this new logo one out of four stars...

The logo and that cover just reminds me of Disco Music, and no that is not a good thing.

Ah I miss the  Superman DC Comic bullet logo.

Not bad tho - wish the insides of modern comix looked as good.

As usual, Tom Spurgeon (http://www.comicsreporter.com/index.php/dc_to_start_using_new_logo/) has the best quote:
"It does sort of look like a pro Ultimate Frisbee team logo, I have to admit: "The DC Whammos.""

Myself, I still miss the old silver age one.

Mark Evanier (http://www.newsfromme.com/archives/2005_05_09.html#009850) compares them.

Can't decide if the Wonder Girl costume looks more like Dazzler or Ms Mystic?

This new ballclub has the right idea - traditional AND modern.

I suppose you could be right.

Off-topic: Is Donna's costume a hand-me-down from Star Boy?

On-topic: I still prefer the plain ol' DC-in-a-circle logo, circa 1973...

It really goes good with the 20c price, too!

I remember really disliking the DC "stars" logo when it was introduced in the 70s ("The DC Line of Super-Stars!").  Even in an age of bell-bottoms and sideburns it seemed cheesy and lame.

Over time I got used to it but never did love it.  That said, the new one's not much better.

I think the era I liked best was early Bronze Age, when they had no logo at all, just a tiny little "DC" they worked into logos for the individual books.  Like this:

Back then I bought comics based on quality, not brand loyalty.  These days I suppose they have to put a logo on the books because otherwise the offerings of DC and Marvel are nearly identical.  In fact, I could use a few more helpful symbols.  For example, the way most of these guys draw, it would be useful to have a big arrow that says, "This is a picture of Superman."

All in all, I don't dislike the logo. The only thing I'd change is I'd place the star at the top rather than the bottom.

Oh I don't know, I think it kind of fits:

"DC...we've got one star left, and we've just about run him into the ground, too!"

Sadly, all too true.

They might be making a turn around with Green Lantern: Rebirth; but with the Countdown to Infinite Crisis, I tend to doubt it

I, personally, can accept change and I've enjoyed every DC logo. Until now, that is.

I just don't like it. Why? No particular reason, I just don't. Still, I can learn to live with it.
