Title: Best Legion Era Post by: DoctorZero on May 31, 2005, 06:49:29 PM What's your favorite era for the Legion? Mine is the original Legion, especially during the days Curt Swan illustrated the team.
How about the rest of the fans here? The Cary Bates era? The Paul Levitz one? Which Legion era do you prefer? Particularly the James Sherman pencilled issues. Whatever happened to him??? Of course Josef Rubenstein's inks make anyone's pencils look great!
Ranging from just after Superboy and the LOSH #200 to around #250 or so. Actually, these are probably my favourite comics of all time. The definitive Legion I reckon. Just Brilliant!!! (Pre-crisis/Pre-Zero Hour....I have heard that he is or was working on it again but I dropped it after ZH...I had no desire to read about the Legion of Super-Teeny-boppers....I was to used to the Adult Legion.)
Personal opinion but I think Steve Lightle was one of the best artists to work on the Legion. (though I could have done with out some of the characters he introduced - such as quizlet, Blok, and the fish thing.) The worst I would have to say would be the Giffen years. For my money, he ruined the Legion....especially after the five year gap.
