Title: Superman Villains Post by: TELLE on July 26, 2005, 03:08:19 AM Can anyone think of a Superman villain whose name begins with the letter Y? Nothing in the Great Superman Book.

In Supergirl v2, which is canonical, Masters of the Universe stories ran in the back of the book for some time. Later, in an issue of DC Comics Presents, Superman met the Masters of the Universe. There was a MOTU character named Yuckers, but I do not remember if the character ever appeared in these canonical stories, or whether he/she was a villian. Create an article on Sinestro (if there isn't already one.) Then create an article entitled "Yellow Lantern" which says "see Sinestro." Certainly Sinestro has appeared in many Superman comics...just find a reference and the problem is solved. I dug up references to the Yellow Mask, a villain from the Superman radio show, unfortunately not canon unless there was a 70s-80s story featuring the character. You'd think that with all the kooky, one-off villains created in the the Bronze Age, there would be a Y villain. I would even settle for a real name/secret identity. I wonder, he is a coward and not a hero, but is he actually a villain?

I checked my trusty WHOS WHO, but the only mention of Yggardis is in the Forgotten Villains entry. He is listed as a sorcerer who, along with Krakow, an 18th century Polish mystic, and the Enchantress, were the focus of the Forgotten Villains plans in their appearance in DC COMICS PRESENTS #77-78.
