One game I like to play when entertaining myself with things that Jack Kirby's worked on, is to "spot the self-insertion." That is, in most team groups that he created, Kirby had one character that was someone that was clearly him. The obvious case is the Thing in FANTASTIC FOUR and Scrapper in Newsboy Legion. And Rocky Davis in Challengers of the Unknown. Actually, there's a pretty good one-to-one correspondence between the leads in CotU and FF, with Sue Richards being the obvious exception.
