Title: LAna Lang aka Gravity Girl
Post by: Captain Kal on October 18, 2005, 02:24:49 PM
Remember when Lana had that alien belt that she thought gave her anti-gravity based powers of super-strength, super-speed, flight, and invulnerability?  Superboy eventually deduced it only had electromagnetic powers not true grav powers so she was vulnerable to anything not affected by magnetic fields as in non-metallic.

DC has stated in a lettercol that when the Legionaires visited Krypton in the past that their flight rings countered the high-G there.

Wouldn't the true anti-grav of the rings grant the LSH members the powers of Gravity Girl?

On a related note, Dream Girl has successfully used her flight ring to remotely toss around heavy weights and even untie rope bonds like a form of pseudo-telekinesis.  This is consistent with the unrealized potential of the flight ring.

These are definite possibilities.  One would think that the flight right have a lot more potential than they are currently using them for.  The current reboot has the flight rights in very limited supply, dictating how many active Legionnaires there can be.
