Title: Halloween- My son as Krypto
Post by: ProfGriffin on November 04, 2005, 11:53:10 AM
Inspired by the adventures of The Dog of Steel on Cartoon Network...
My son wanted to be Krypto the Superdog for Halloween.

Here (in the interest of sharing) is the result.
I really think he came out great.

We have ProfGriffin's son as Krypto and Nightwing as Batman.

Hey, Super Monkey!  Where's the pic of you in costume?

cute pics :)

I didn't do anything for halloween.  :? I haven't dressed up for halloween since I was a child.

I did dress up as Superman as a kid once, in one of those cheap Ben cooper costumes that came in a box and were kind of scary looking at them there on the selves of the local Woolworth as a child

What a great outfit!  :D

My two year old went as a dog, too.  We tried the outfit on him the day before and he ran around the house enjoying it.  Then when we took it off, he said, "Want Superman!" so we told him maybe next year.

Never occured to me we could've found a way to do "dog" and "super" in one go!  Well done!

How come every baby on Earth (who's family celebrates Halloween) gets dressed as a pumpkin at least once?

One of the great mysteries in life :)

I was never once a pumpkin. If I can track down who took the photos from the party this year I'll show off my Clark Kent.

Well, we call him "punkin," so it just seemed natural.  Or maybe I'm just out of my gourd.

The outfit I really wanted the baby to wear was that of a "Hershey kiss." It looked like tinfoil with a little pointed hood and a "Hershey" tag coming out of the top.

I'm always teasing friends about their babies being 'from the dessert tray' since the kids are so darned sweet. heh heh

But dressing him up as a Hershey's kiss?    Then he'd really be from the dessert tray!

I always wanted to wear a Superman costume as a kid but never got around to it.  Now, I'm too old for it.

OTOH, I do wear his hairdo complete with droppable spitcurl.  I kid you not.

I actually always have a little spitcurl, even when my hair is short and spikey. As for right now I've got Superman hair due to not visiting the barber yet. What I really hate is when people say "Nice hair, Elvis". :)

Those are great costumes.  The one kid who wasn't over 13 who came to my house was dressed as the Hulk.  The smallest Hulk ever!

I was Superman at age 6 for Halloween.  My mom added the "S" logo to a turtleneck that was just the right shade of blue, and came up with a cape but she used the red-yellow chest logo for the cape instead of all-yellow.  There were no blue leggings, and I was told by some parent who gave me candy that I was really only Superman from the waist up.  At that age, I didn't register it as a double entendre, thank goodness.
