Title: "It tickles!"
Post by: Russell on April 08, 2006, 06:53:00 PM
Anyone know when Superman (Superboy) first started saying this?

I know in the New Adventures of Superboy he said bullets and the like actually didn't tickle, that he did it to morally break criminals and what not.

Also, what's the biggest attack he's ever done and then gone on to say, it tickles?

Superman 1st said it on January 1945. It's from a cover of an extremely famous issue of Superman from the golden age, Superman No. 32.

You know what's nice?  I saw the Supergirl and the Legion episode of JLU the other night and Supergirl said "That tickles!" (I think while attacked by robot doppelgangers of  Blockbuster and Atomic Skull).  I do not kid.

Hahaha, I'm glad to see some people still remember classic comics.
