Title: Story of Superman
Post by: TELLE on May 16, 2006, 10:55:46 PM
I just noticed this tiny paperback while out grocery shopping at 1 am last night.  Published by TOR books originally in 1978 or so (presumably to cash in on Superman movie fever), the book is in something like its 9th printing.  The story, by Pasko and Swanderson, is available somewhere in the Fortress.  But for anyone who hasn't had a chance to buy the black-and-white version over the last 20-odd years, it looks like it has been re-issued, as is, for the upcoming movie, with a vain hope to attract the casual, paperback browsing consumer.

In other trophy news, I picked up a small lot of 1950s Superman Sunday comics pages by Wayne Boring as well as a dozen or so Bronze Age classics at a garage sale this past Saturday.  Lots of raw material for the 'cyclopedia.

Very nice, we are really lacking in the Bronze Age entries.

Lots of great finds overall!
