Title: The "Thin Man" connection
Post by: Great Rao on August 01, 2006, 03:21:30 PM
I recently re-watched one of the old "Thin Man" movies, "After the Thin Man."  I noticed quite a few similairities with the K-Metal comic so I'm going to try to put together an article showing how the first two "Thin Man" movies may have been an influence on it.  It's also possible that the relationship portrayed between the two main characters, Nick and Nora Charles, was how Jerry Siegel planned to portray the future relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane, after Lois learned of Clark's dual identity.

In the meantime, here's one of the pictures I'm going to use in the article:

Not only that but Jimmy Stewart's character in After the Thin Man is clearly affected by something- could it have been that percursor of Green K - bathtub gin?
