Title: BATMAN BEGINS Producer was also a WRITER?
Post by: JulianPerez on August 31, 2006, 09:08:36 AM
Michael E. Uslan, executive producer of the original BATMAN and BATMAN BEGINS, as well as being producer of the original BATMAN: ANIMATED SERIES, actually for a time was briefly a writer, as intriguing as it sounds.

He was actually CREATOR and writer of the short-lived television series, DINOSAUCERS. a series that featured Dinosaurs from outer space (! - insane theories: 1,000,000, Regular Theories: 0) aided by teenagers in hovercycles. Man, I used to love that show - what a surprise it is to find out that it was done by somebody already known.

(Not nearly as much a surprise to learn that CHUCK NORRIS: KARATE KOMMANDOS was co-created by Jack Kirby and Gil Kane; what, did they also base the idea off a short story by Eudora Welty? And let's not even talk about the Communist Robot with lasers on his chest from RAMBO: THE FORCE OF FREEDOM right this second.)

Mike E. Uslan is no stranger to animation; he did the WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SANDIEGO? series from a while back.

Uhhh...  he's even a comic book writer.  He worked with Stan Lee on the "Just Imagine..." stuff re-envisioning classic characters for DC.  Check out:
