Title: Re: Wallpapers Post by: Super Monkey on December 30, 2006, 02:32:14 PM did you draw and colored them yourself?

Title: Re: Wallpapers Post by: Great Rao on December 30, 2006, 04:00:31 PM What do you think of these wallpapers? I like them.Where did the Walt Simonson picture (the first one) come from? In fact, I'm curious where they all came from. I like the "Superman Returns" S emblem on the Animated Series Superman - I think it works well. Is that supposed to be a Curt Swan S, or a George Reeves S, on the bottom Superman? Either way, I really like seeing a well done modern drawing of the character but with the traditional emblem - if only they were doing that in the comics! Thanks for putting this one together, I like it very much. Title: Re: Wallpapers Post by: superman007 on December 30, 2006, 04:04:31 PM No, I did not draw them. I did however manipulate images and changed colors. The wallpapers are my creations.
Title: Re: Wallpapers Post by: superman007 on December 30, 2006, 04:11:44 PM The last wallpaper has the George Reeves's S. The images come from many different sources. I believe you are right about the first Superman. If you would like a 1280 x 1024 copy let me know.

Actually, the Simonson image is from Superman Gallery #1. It's taken from the cover. Title: Re: Wallpapers Post by: Great Rao on January 15, 2007, 10:00:03 PM Very nice! I like the painting SFX you added to Routh. The Daily Planet background is beautiful - where did it come from?
(note to other forum members - here's a direct link (http://tinypic.com/4fyjdjr.jpg) to the full-size image) If the Beatles' Love (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000JK8OYU/theamalgamatronA/) album wasn't enough, I think these Superman pieces do a great job of validating mash-ups as a legitimate art form. I got it from the SR Movie Guide. (http://tinypic.com/4dzc035.jpg) Title: Re: Wallpapers Post by: superman007 on February 08, 2007, 07:51:50 AM (http://i2.tinypic.com/4i4mlo2.jpg)
