Title: DC & Marvel Parallell Worlds Post by: Michel Weisnor on October 20, 2007, 08:57:20 PM After years of hearing about Mark Gruenwald's Squadron Surpreme, last month, I finally read his Squadron Surpreme from beginning to end. Since then, I've scrambled searching for all Squadron crossovers I could lay my hands on. Marvel's Justice League sparked my interest in further exploration of Marvel/DC parallel worlds. DC also had it's own take on the Marvel Universe with the less popular Champions of Angor. Out of this universe, the Extremists, evil pastiches of Marvel's villains, ruled a ruined Angor in the late 80's Justice League series. So my question, besides current comics such as Supreme Power and the upcoming Lord Havoc and the Extremists, did DC publish other Marvel-like characters in their own stories or vice versa? For example, I recall a DC Galactus but cannot track down any information.

Rob Liefeld was working on DC version of the X-men before Marvel threatned to sue. This concept later became Youngblood. On Justice League Unlimited, Dr. Fate, Aquaman, & Solomon Grundy teamed up into a very "Defenders" type team.

Rob Liefeld was working on DC version of the X-men before Marvel threatned to sue. This concept later became Youngblood. I only dimly recall the issue, but Blue Jay was the Wasp take-off. Also, in the Civil War Fantastic Four trade, the Thing works with a group of French heroes who are obvious parodies/homages to the Justice League. There's one ad for a new miniseries called "Salvation Run" that at first glance I thought was a team composed of Doctor Strange, the Mole Man, and a couple of other Marvel heroes:
