Post by: India Ink on July 21, 2011, 03:42:31 PM When you go to the reply screen you can either click the options shown above the reply box--there's one for insert image--or you can simply do [ img ] your link [ /img] with no spaces. The image link has to be between the two. Using preview helps to check if you got it right (but it's been slow the past few days).

When you google images, you are taken to the page where the image originally appears, google then gives you the option of seeing the actual image (usually a jpg or a gif). This is usually a much shorter url code (ending in jpg or gif)--although sometimes this doesn't work because the original web page doesn't want you to look at the original jpg on their site. So you have to copy that url and put it between [ img] and [ /img]. The other mistake you made a couple of times was putting in spaces. There can't be any spaces. I used [ img] so you could see--but to make it actually work there can't be any spaces inside the square brackets or in the url itself. Finally--it helps to use quote to see what other posters have done. You can use quote to preview their post and then find the code that they have used.
