Title: Unneeded events of the past decade.
Post by: llozymandias on April 02, 2012, 07:04:13 PM
When Mr Majestic first visited the then-DCU, he commented on how ¨far¨ it was from his universe.  It was not even in the same strand of the multiverse.  That was all that was needed to establish that DC had a multiverse again.  Even if you ignore the hypertime stuff they did a few yeears earlier.  Instead in order to create a puny 52 universe multiverse, DC wastes 5-7 years with Infinite Crisis, 52, Countdown to Final Crisis, & Final Crisis.  Flashpoint was not needed in order to have DCnU.  It would have been better if created as a new universe in the DC Multiverse.  Yes, i know that DC is trying to expand their market share by attracting new readers.  But like in the 80s, they choose to ignore a simple rule of marketing.  When trying to get new customers , you should always try to keep the ones you already have.

I agree 100 percent, there is no need to wipe the old continuity to create new ones.
