If it's the one i'm thinking of, the story was similar to war of the worlds. Speaking of which, there are three WotW movies on tap for this year and next: - a low-budget period-set piece made by Pendragon Pictures - a CGI animated adaptation of Jeff Wayne's infamous musical album - a big-budget Tom Cruise/Steven Spielberg version that, due to legal problems caused by Jeff Wayne and Pendragon (long story there), is a present-day reworking of the story (they originally wanted to do the Wells book full-blown) Three to choose from, I guess. |
