Post by: valdemar on February 22, 2003, 02:45:35 PM
Adventures of Superman first went on the air in early 1953, approximately 50 years ago.

And it's still running strong.  Thanks George! 8)

Fifty years ----- wonder if there is any hope of TV Land giving the show a weekend marathon?

50 years. Man I'm beginning to feel old. I've got a copy of Gary Grossman's Superman From Serial to Cereal that I got back in college 25 years ago. I remember thinking it had been a real long time since the show then.  I wish TV Land would run the show sometime other than 3 AM

I love Lucy?

Title: Bet the longest running show has a Superman Connection

The longest running show has to I love Lucy.

Superman connection would be the classic appearance of George Reeves as Superman in Little Ricky's Birthday.

And I started watching it again last night on TV land. It was one of my favorite shows as a kid, of course it was reruns back then as well, I am not that old. ;) My parents however were watching when they 1st ran and were big fans of the show, for them he was the ultimate Superman.

Wow, what a great show! It comes on at 3:30am 7 days a week, so tape it or tivo it and enjoy.

Man, I would love to own every season on DVD. What are the odds of this ever happening?

Or even the original serials and movies (b&W) on DVD.
