Of all the things you've posted, I think this is my favorite.
Too apropos today, and probably for the rest of this administration.

I've got a  version of page 21 lettered and online.  Many thanks to Julian and Costin.

Still doing some minor adjustments to this page and a few others; then off to finish up page 23.

With luck, the entire K-Metal story will be complete before the year is out.

Oops!

I accidentally let the domain name "superman-through-the-ages.com" expire.

fortress.net.nu is paid up for most of the rest of this century , so that's your safest bet.  The rest of the site is migrating to that domain in bits and pieces.

In 2014, Julian DiLorenzo commissioned finished artwork for pages 21 and 23 of "The K-Metal from Krypton" from artist Costin Stefan.

Time passed.

Then last month, with the impetus of the pending "Miracle Monday" re-release, I repaired my long-dead Windows XP box; meaning that I regained access to my ancient copy of Adobe Photoshop, the K-Metal font, and all of the original K-Metal artwork. (The K-Metal project started in 2004 and it has lived on the same computer since that time.)

So I dove into the time machine and started lettering page 21.

Here's a sneak peak from the page.  Final appearance may vary.

I am waiting to hear back from the artist regarding some needed corrections to the page, so although the story isn't quite complete yet; we are much nearer that completion!

Elliot S! Maggin recently announced that he will be publishing a brand-new 2017 edition of Superman: Miracle Monday!

I have put together a small page about this new edition right here:  http://theages.superman.nu/MiracleMonday/

Elliot has corrected typos and done some editing; he will be the reader for the audio edition; and there will also be both a paperback and an e-book version.

The cover artwork shown above is by Ken Penders - the source is the Superman Homepage.

The artwork shown on Elliot's page is presumably the version for the finished book:

One more thing - the announced publication date is May 15, 2017 - Miracle Monday 2017.

Coming December 12, 2017:

A glorious new, one volume, omnibus edition of Jack Kirby's Fourth World saga - which will include all of his run on Jimmy Olsen, Mister Miracle, Forever People, and New Gods — plus his conclusion to the saga from the 1980s.

See Mathew Jackson's recent article for more details:

Jack Kirby's legendary Fourth World Saga will finally get a glorious new omnibus edition

Solicitation:
Quote
After co-creating comic book heroes such as THE FANTASTIC FOUR and THE HULK, legendary writer/artist Jack Kirby came to DC Comics in 1970 to write and illustrate four interlocking series known collectively as “The Fourth World.”  Now, as part of the celebration of the 100th birthday of Jack Kirby, DC collects Kirby’s entire runs on these four series—THE NEW GODS, THE FOREVER PEOPLE, MISTER MIRACLE and SUPERMAN’S PAL JIMMY OLSEN—In a single volume. These comics spanned galaxies, from the streets of Metropolis to the far-flung twin worlds of New Genesis and Apokolips, as cosmic-powered heroes and villains struggle for supremacy, and the world-conquering Darkseid adventured across Earth for the deadly Anti-Life Equation.

Collects SUPERMAN’S PAL JIMMY OLSEN #133-139 and 141-148, THE NEW GODS #1-11, THE FOREVER PEOPLE #1-11, MISTER MIRACLE #1-18, plus later stories from NEW GODS #4 and DC GRAPHIC NOVEL #4.

I picked up the Neal Adams series - nice, but it's got a few problems.  A lot like much of the cheesy 70s stuff; less like the fantastic 70s stuff.  But at least it's pretty much a pre-Crisis book.

And for anyone who has missed it, here is the new costume for the old Superman:

That's his son, Superman, Jr., on the left.

I sense a costume influence -
