Hi  Smiley  i'm new here. I want to ask about some Superman comics I had when I was a child. I don't rememeber much; what I do remember is that Superman was kinda blacking out, and killing people, or thinks he was killing people, or finding himself dresssed in a weird costume, i think. And then he took an oxygen tank (he wore it on his belt if I remember correctly) and left the Earth. I've been searching on the net but haven't found anything. Does anyone know what number these comics are, or what year were they published? thanks in advance Cheesy

Hm. . .I'm pretty sure you're referring to some post-Crisis Superman stories. Superman was experiencing severe guilt for his execution of the Kryptonian criminals from the pocket universe (don't ask, waaaay too complicated), and as a result was experiencing blackouts where he'd head out into the streets dressed as Gangbuster. The Guardian eventually found him out, and fearing his repressed emotions could lead to him endangering innocents he fled the Earth for a period of time until he could sort his problems out properly. The result was his meeting the Cleric and gaining the Eradicator, which would lead to further complications down the road. The saga of Superman in space was collected in the Superman: Exile trade paperback, which should be available at your friendly local comicbook store.

 Hope this helps,
