"The GIRL who DIDN'T BELIEVE in SUPERMAN!"

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby

Great story from the 50's, the most underrated of all the Super eras.

According to tvtome.com, "Around the World with Superman" first aired on March 13, 1954.

So it appears the TV episode preceded the publication of the story.  Of course, depending on publication lead times, the episode might still have been copied from the comic script.

I wonder if any other stories migrated from the Superman comic to the TV show, or vice versa, during that time?

That was a great story  Cool

But I can't help but wonder why a mother would enter her blind child into a contest where the prize would be a sight seeing trip.  :?

Did she hope that Superman could help her daughter?

Must have been the $1000 prize.
