Just looking over the Atlantis entry at Supermanica and saw the reference to Tritonis and Poseidonis.  I was unsure about the canonical references to these cities myself and didn't include them in the Jerro bio, for instance.

I know that E. Nelson Bridwell dreamed up the two cities in Superfriends #8 in part to explain away continuinity discrepencies concerning the Atlantis of Aquaman and the Atlantis of Lori Lemaris (merpeople vs non-merpeople).  But is there somewhere in the canon where the 2 cities were referenced?  Sometime in the 1970s-80s, obviously.

Dr. Johnny, thanks for taking a break from your epic revisions at Supermanica to answer that!  I will have to look up the issue.  So many things to buy!

FYI, the original run of the DC Who's Who also lists the different cities of Atlantis.  It also goes on to mention Travis's Skartaris offshoot of Atlantis that migrated beneath the Earth where Mike Grell's Warlord stories took place.  DC firmly embraced the idea that Atlantis had at least several cities that went different routes thus explaining the different takes on Atlantis in the DCU.  They're all true only they were showing a different city of the Atlantean nation.  It's like showing NYC as representing the USA for one tale and Chicago for another.

Ok.

Clark met Lori in college. He joined the JLA several years later.

See, wasn't that easy?

Arion's atlantis was several millenia in Earth-1's past.  It was a global society that existed before/during the last ice age.  When Atlantis "sank" each of the different surviving cities chose its own solution for living undersea.  One city chose to become mer-people.  Another chose to stay humanoid while still becoming waterbreathers.  Thus you have what seems like at least two different races of atlanteans.
