Yeah, that's what I'm thinking...Hourman had a combined cowl and cape, but nothing like the Spectre...

The Spectre may have been best in another age, but by gawd he was cool...sheet...

You have to go a long way back, but for a while Dr Occult wore a cloak not too unlike the Specter's.  And there was the Green Lama.

But overall, it's a look that didn't really catch on with the spandex crowd.

Good old Green Lama.  Possibly the only superhero ever to have the real name "Jethro."

At least we know Lamont Cranston wasn't the most picked-on guy back at Hero School.

Dr. Occult yet another character by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster! I am starting to see a theme here Wink I think he is more known for wearing his treach coat and hat.

Was the Green Lama ever part of the JLA?

Does anyone else have a creepy hood like the Spectre?  I'm thinking...

Moonknight?  The Teen Titans' Raven?  I'm sure there are others, including various Spectre rip-offs.

Does anyone know, did Dr.Occult make any pre-Crisis appearances after the famous trench-coat brigade issue of Alan Moore's Swamp Thing (War in Heaven annual)?  The one that featured the end of Zatarra?
