My older sister died of cancer so this kinda hits home for me. They have my best wishes and I hope she comes out of it okay. Hoi, heckuva day.

I can't shake the feeling that Christopher Reeve was put on Earth for a
specific purpose, and that once his purpose was fulfilled, he was taken
back by his Creator. I hope you don't think that's callous, but it's my
feeling about him.

Surely Reeve had two of the biggest balls in Hollywood. There was
nothing phony about his courage and his power to inspire. I break into a
cold sweat just thinking about what he went through. He was
undoubtedly one of the strongest public figures of modern times.

For the life of me I can't see his playing Superman (and a very good and
proper Superman) as a coincidence, that he became famous for being
this character in particular.

Since we're into another round of Byrne-bashing, you are aware that Byrne dissed Reeve by saying he didn't think Chris was particularly heroic for just being a victim of a paralyzing accident?

I'm not up for rebutting that load of hooey since we all know how to tear that snotty remark up.

I just thought I'd bring it up.

Bashing Byrne is fun and all, but that is not what this thread is or should be about, so I shall close it for now.
