I agree, that is a high quality story, and I'm looking forward to the second half of the story.

I always found the idea of a Superhero, specifically "Superman" in OUR world to be fascinating.

I mean, he'd have to ask DC comics for the right to display the "S"!

I once wrote a story about such a Superboy....I think I'll dig it up...

Thanks Great Rao, good story selection.

I can't wait to read the follow up! Well, I hope that Rao owns the follow up

Now if we can only have a story about the Earth-3 evil Superman

Actually I have always wanted to read the Super Menace story (only know of it from the Great Superman Book entry).  Hint, hint, hint, hint

I know that there are at least 2 more parts to this Superboy-Prime story.  I'd kind of been holding off on them because they deal with the death of Supergirl and Crisis on Infinite Earths - these are areas that I hadn't really been dealing with on the site, and I'm not sure if I want to.  I really just liked the origin portion.

Anyone have any thoughts either way?  If enough people ask for it, I suppose I could put up the next installment...

You're right, that does sound intruiguing.  The first half reminds me a bit of the much later Batman story, The Player on the Other Side (from Batman Special #1).  The same situation, a villain with the exact same origin as Batman.

It looks like the Super-Menace story was in Superman #137.  Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of it.
