I just finished reading Infinite Crisis #1. HolyCrap!
I've been following the Crisis thing all year, in some hopes that the "sequel" to Crisis would correct some of its mistakes.
Throughout the book, someone is narrating about the hopeless fate of earth. I thought it was the Guardians all along. Much of the book is dialogue between Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, who are arguing over their recent mistakes. At one point, Batman says something like "Let's face it, "Superman," the last time you really inspired anyone...was when you were dead!" which made "Superman" shut up.
At this point, the narrator decides that he can't take it anymore, and starts smashing through the hypertime barrier that you saw in "The Kingdom."
I am pleased to introduce...the final page of Infinite Crisis #1!

So DC finally admits this hasn't been the "real" Superman all along! A big day for us, I think...but we'll have to watch more closely.
