I just wanted to point out that the Adventures of Superman DVD set is currently shipping from Amazon.  It's #13 on their sales-rank list, outselling the new season of Friends and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Hopefully this success will prompt WB to release succeeding seasons, but I'd be much more excited by see DVDs of the Kirk Alyn serials next.  Smiley

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby

Season 2 has already been announced (http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=4293  for the art, follow the link within for more on release date, episodes, etc).  Judging from comments on the web (most of them non-comics sites), demand for this series is very high indeed.

I'm hopeful for the Alyn serials, based on the release of the two Batman serials.  What I'm really looking forward to is the Spy Smasher serial.

Like I said before, with the release of Superman Returns hopefully this will prompt them to cash in on it by releasing the serials.

I also hope that all the old Fawcett serials are release as well, I have the Captain Marvel one, I would like to have all of them.

Since he was in Superman No. 400, I made this to mark this DVD release Smiley
