Hello everyone!

I have a problem that maybe someone can help me with. I am looking to replace an old, ratty Superman t-shirt of my husband's. The t-shirt is a black shirt with a white "s" and blue outlining. The "s" shape is a bit more block-like than the typical Superman "s". I do not remember why this shirt is different, but I think he told me it was the logo that Superman wore when he was in another world or banished or something like that. I myself have never read comics or graphic novels, but my husband has hundreds of them! This shirt is his favorite and has had to be shelved since it is so old and falling apart.    I would love to find another to replace it. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you!

That's not ringing a bell for me, sorry.

There is this one, on a black background, white "S" with gray "outline" (actually supposed to make it look embossed).

It's the version used to represent the character Steel, who at one point was put forth as a possible new Superman when the old one was "dead" (that could be what your husband was referring to...?)

It would also be the only one old enough to have worn out, I think, as that storyline was 12 years ago   .  But maybe it's something I never saw.  Anyway, if this is the one, you can order it straight from the maker:

Yeah, from the description, it sounds like an Electric Superman ("blue") logo on a black tee...

sadly for you, one that was one of the most hated designs in the history of comics, right up there with the Clone Spiderman, as a result they are no longer being made and haven't been in about 10 years. Not even E-Bay has them.

Your best bet is to go to a comic book shop and try looking for it there, it's called the electric superman t-shirt, if they have it you should be able to get it extremely cheap.

good luck

Thank you everyone for your help. Unfortunately going to a comic book store will be difficult since we are in the military and stationed in Okinawa, Japan. I guess he'll just have to deal with the beat up old shirt.  :?  Thanks again!
