You should update the Santa entry Smiley

Has the classic "Superman's Christmas Adventure" ever been reprinted?

Yep. It was the first story in Limited Collectors' Edition #C-43 in 1975 (link is to the GCD entry).

I had hoped to write a giant Christmas article for Supermanica, but it's frustrating. No references to Christmas in World's Finest? None in Superboy?

I'm sure they exist, but it seems like DC prints Christmas stories in April or something. So after searching through a bunch of November-December issues, I found nothing. I think some of the Bizarro issues of Adventure Comics may have dealt with holidays, so I'll check there.

In other news, my girlfriend got me The Great Superman Book for Christmas. Can you say "keeper?"

That's because books dated November-December came out somewhere between August and October, depending on the era.  Comics are advance-dated, for arcane reasons having to do with newsstand longevity.  Even today, books that actually come out in December are dated February.

Note, for instance, that there's a Christmas story in ACTION COMICS #105, dated February 1947, SHAZAM #11 (Christmas story, New Year's cover) is dated March 1974, and DC COMICS PRESENTS #67 (Superman and Santa Claus) is dated March 1984.  All of them came out before Christmas.

That would be a great project!  Thanks to Kurt Busiek for getting us started!

And a great arcane comics gift from a girlfriend?  Sounds like the best Xmas ever!
