The obvious one that springs to mind right away is Daxam, home of Superman's fellow member of the Legion of Super-Heroes, Mon-El. But there were other planets that produced super-powered beings in Superman comics, whose powers were equal to Superman's own.

There was also the homeworld of Karb-Brak, the alien from Andromeda, who was sent to earth because he was allergic to superpowers that all of his race possesses (and thus, seeks to destroy Superman because he has similar powers to those of his race).

Then we have the home planet of Hyperman, who was the protector of the planet Oceania, whose origin was that he was from a race of powered people, as I recall.

Did we ever get an origin for Vartox? It would be strange if he was in fact, NATIVE to Valeron and thus the only one from that world that possesses powers (it is a common law of the DC Universe that only humans tend to have weird powers and Earth alone produces "heroes," which is why Adam Strange was a big deal, though obviously there are exceptions to this).

And we have the Martian race that produced John Jones, Manhunter from Mars, ALL of whom possessed "a thousand Martian skills," which include telepathy and shapechanging, in addition to other Supermanlike abilities.

Thoron home of Halk Kar. Halk Kar wasn't quite as powerful as Superman but far more powerful than most humans. He was also a prototype for Mon-El who was from Daxam.

He was a Vuldarian/human hybrid. His alien DNA is dormant now.

Many people want others to accept their opinions as fact. If enough people accept them as fact then it gives the initial person or persons a feeling of power. This is why people will constantly talk about something they hate—they want others to feel the same way. It matters to them that others perceive things the same way that they do.
