Thinking about Julian's notes on the Teen Titans and thinking about Supermanica, can anyone tell me when Superman first met the original Titans, outside of the JLA?

And did Superman actually interact with the NTT in the DCPresents where they first appeared?

As I recall, the first appearance of Superman in the NEW TEEN TITANS was all the way back in NEW TITANS #14 or thereabouts, when the Titans charged to battle the Citadel, and Superman, in the JLA watchtower, rescued the team when they were jettisoned into space. As at the time, Superman was split in two by Lord Satanis, he could not accompany the Titans further.

Is that what it was?  I just remember that he didn't have his super powers.

We are both right. He HAD lost his powers, and he had been split in two by magic. More specifically, Lord Satanis, while searching for the runestone in the 20th Century, split Superman into two, each one only having HALF of Superman's powers. It was this "half split" Superman that saved the Titans from the JLA watchtower.

Also, it wasn't #14, because the Doom Patrol story with the death of Madame Rouge and General Immortus's De-Evolution Pit started in this story (I always liked that in the trap, all of Titans became gorillalike creatures, whereas Starfire became something more feline). The story started sometime in the teens, though, and as I recall, ended in the first New Titans Annual.

But we still haven't established when SM and NTT meet first in a Superman comic (not counting JLA).  The first appearance is just an insert, according to GCD.  Was the first meeting Action 546/545?

The NTT have a cameo in a Wolfman-scripted issue of Action Comics (531 or 532, maybe? I don't have the issue in front of me right now.) where Superman battles the H.I.V.E.  Supes drops in on Titans' Tower to gain some background information on the villainous organisation.

edit: It was 532, first half of a H.I.V.E. two-parter.
