Just an idle question, really: so Brainiac shrunk Kandor and added it to his collection of miniature cities, and Superman bopped him on the head and rescued it. But what of the other cities in Brainiac's collection? Did he save them, too? Where did they go? There must have been millions upon millions of people in them, and I daresay a shrunken city requires proper care, as is shown by the fact that Superman has to attach a sort of oxygen tube to the neck of the bottle, which I imagine he has to replace regularly.

Also, where do Kandorians get food? In some stories, Kandor is shown to have been shrunk together with some surrounding flora and fauna, which I guess could be used for agricultural exploitation, but is it enough to feed a city of eight million inhabitants, as I seem to remember Kandor is said to be? Kandor always looks as if it were the equivalent of the island of Manhattan trapped in a bottle; hardly a self-sustaining community. Could it be that the buildings of Kandor are so tall that our sense of proportion is skewed, and the surrounding areas are actually quite large, capable of sustaining a city that size?

I know, I take Kandor far too seriously. I worry about these people, though, you know?

I created a thread about this a while back--here. The discussion had many pages, some that you may find interesting.

It's certainly a good question and I've always wondered if any writer ever addressed it. I assume that they would have, seeing as how they even came up with Anti-Kryptonite to fix Supergirl's origin.

Many people want others to accept their opinions as fact. If enough people accept them as fact then it gives the initial person or persons a feeling of power. This is why people will constantly talk about something they hate—they want others to feel the same way. It matters to them that others perceive things the same way that they do.
