I am wondering what people are making of this "new" theory explaining that Kal-El is no superman at all, or super - alien or whatever. Super Android maybe. Created in our year 1916 when the guardians of the universe saw we were on the eventual road to self destruction, we would be nuclear-ready in, they thought, 25 years.The Green Lanterns just didnt have enough power, besides, power corrupts in so many cases. this android was ALL powerfull & had no ego to corrupt. If he hadnt been android he'd have been a  Biblical figure.He may still be.
    He was sent here, programmed to believe there once existed a planet Krypton where he had biological parents who were un-able to save the planet from a nuclear disaster which occurred in nature (when the story was written, the bomb handn't been invented yet).So his main goal was to be able to save THIS planet. He was also programmed to believe he was organicly born, & his "powers" came from a wide range of source getting more convenient all the time, it gave him the quality of being naive. Batman, the least naive character of all knows the truth, which he wont even divulge to ANY Robin, let alone anyone else.
  Kryptonite is nothing but a meteor the Guardians Programmed Superman to believe will make him sick, his believing it makes it happen.
   Why do you suppose that Clark Kent is perhaps the least sexually attractive man around? He is a sophisticated android, but not so sophisticated that he can reproduce, this built in clutziness was why Lois was initially repelled by him in the earliest books.
    The daughter Lara in DK2 was, in actuality, the daughter of Wonder Woman & Captain Marvel, but they both believed she was Supermans child, Wonder Woman & Marvel only did the deed once, when Luthor had Marvel under his power (Kingdom Come) Marvel didnt know the child was his, either did Wonder Woman, remarkably.(I wonder what would have happened if Luthor found out Superman was robot?Maybe Luthor is robot too!)
    Superman was brought here to be the savior of us ALL, not so he could simply be the last suvivor of a planet that was about to die. His programming sees no distintion between race, religion, or anything else. He is wise enough to know all cultures are equally good & bad,no culture is worse than any other, some just need his help more than others. Even with no powers hes a Superman in my book.
