Bought Superman Chronicles 1 today, outstanding!
I enjoy the current issues of Action and Superman but they just seem to drag out SOOOOO long, why can't they be more like these early stories?
There is more action in this one small volume of reprints than there has been in the last several years of continuity.

Does anyone know when Volume Two is due to be released? Has DC said anything about how they are going to space out the releases?

Post subject: Superman Chronicles Vol 1

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I waited long before even really thinking about buying this book, simply because it was wrapped in the protective bag, I couldnt look through it, & I mistakenly assumed that everything in it was also in 'Superman Archives, Vol #1'.
Well. I certainly was in for a pleasant suprise! It seems as though this is the DEFINITAVE Superman collection! Each story, I am, again. assuming, appears in the order it was written & drawn, Making things a lot more in the original spirit. Now I am just wondering how often the new books will come out? I remember when 'Nemo Books ' put out the entire E. Seegar 'Thimble Theater' starring Popeye. It was a heck of a wait, but now I have it all, & feel lucky to have it. I just hope this series is a little quicker!
But it certainly apperars that when the books are all out we will finally have an edition of books that includes EVERYTHING (& if you have those 'newspaper' collections, you are even luckier) But if you have ever read Jules Feiffer's 'The comic book heroes', You may have been waiting for this collection since you were a littyl kid

So for those of you who already have Superman Chronicles #1 - what is the reproduction of the artwork like?  Is it basically the same stuff that we've seen in the Archives?  Or is it more faithful to the original linework?
