The real question is whether the Super-Teacher finally met his maker at the end of the story; or if the door was left open for another sequel.

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby

Maybe he can return in that recent comic you posted without an ending, another darn test from the dreaded Super Teacher!

Great Rao, please don't give DC any ideas. Next thing you know, Super Teacher will be the true threat behind Infinite Crisis.  :?

No wonder Superboy Prime went bad.

Was it ever revealed how the robot was going to remove the superpowers?

The robot was going to expose Superman to Denny O'Neil and Frank Miller.

I managed to track down a copy of that issue where Supergirl meets Superteacher.  Gahh.  That robot was doing its best to cause Kara to have a mental breakdown.  It wasn't testing Kara, it was trying to mentally destroy her.
