Even if DC wanted to create a multiverse again, what a nightmare that would be, do all the characters go back to their home universe?  The last 20 years would really have to be a "dream" sequence a la "Newhart"...

I just recalled something, Infinite Crisis did do something.

All Elseworlds and Tangent comics have now been folded into the current reality and no longer exist.  

Didio bluntly stated that Elseworlds are a thing of the past.

i hope the ten-part (!) history of the dcu, supplemental to 52, will clear things up for me

It was created for people who need to have a reason for changes from the old continuity to the new continuity.  Since I have no interest in the old continuity, I am completely ignoring it and just jumping on board the new continuity.

Given what I've heard about it, I think it'll be just as pointless as IC and 52 were.

They oughtta just stop fighting it and issue a monthly Power Girl comic where every issue features a different origin.

I heard a rumor that Power Girl stored new origin stories in her bra.
