We just received notice that the original artwork for page 11 of "The K-Metal from Krypton" was recently up for auction.  It didn't sell, but you can still see the artwork and description at the auction site:

You may have to create an account in order to see the larger image.

And if you don't mind spoilers, we also recently added Bob Rivard's painstakingly refinished and colored version of the same page to our restoration project:

Very nice page...

I didn't join to to look at the enlarged version of the original, does it read "And now the powers that enabled me to do these things is...gone"?  An original typo?

Klar, I bet you say that to all the pages.

Yup, that's exactly how it reads on the original art and in Jerry's script.  I have made two minor changes to the dialogue elsewhere in the story, but not here.  The two changes were both to fix minor inconsistencies with the artwork - one on a page by Angel, the other on a Shuster page.

The only change we made to page 11 was moving the dialogue box that's on the lower left of the page - the one that starts "... I saved cities from..."  - I nudged it down just a tad to show a bit more of the collage scene.

I figured you were sticking exactly to the sources, but just wanted to check...actually, I kind of like it the way it is...

I hope this project gets lot of press when its done, its a very cool combo of research, art that follows the original but has a very distinct look on its own...

OK, for people who want to compare our restored version of page 11 with the original, here's a photo that was taken of the original artwork awhile back.  This is from when it was on public display in a museum, before it went to auction:
