I don't think this version became "Superboy"

even when he did, in today's modern storytelling method (and based on the "owenership" legalities of the superboy name).. they would have called him "Superman" even as a young man..

anyway it's absurd..

The Term "Superman" itself is a cool word, describes "Superhuman" the "perfect man and the whatnot.. with or without the nietzche influence..

terming it "Superboy" reduces the value of "Super-man" to something like a "Goof" like how there's a "Bat-man" a "Spider-man" a "Pajamas-man"

and if there were sexists there would be "Super-Girl"

I don't want "Superboy" Back, Kal-El as a humble being makes it very uncharacteristic for him to name himself, let the media name him that, keep it the same that Lois named him Superman (although let's say she named him that at a much younger age) that would work with today's audience.

Two words:

Taking Time

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby
