Just a quickie: binarysunrise recently posted a notice for a one-act "Superman" play, apparently written by Jules Feiffer (not the musical). I've never heard about it, and a Google search hasn't done much good - does anyone know anything more about this?

I have 20 roles of microfilm to go through and print out each Superman daily, so I don't have the time at the moment. However, here are my thoughts.  This Jules Feiffer might be:

Which means you can go to:

and email him with your question

Feiffer wrote the Great Comic Book Heroes and is responsible for one of the best analyses of Superman (from that book) and has done many comic strips about Superman but I've never heard of this play.  He is a great playwright and screenwriter --maybe the play is hidden in a collection of his one-acts?

Yes, I assume we're talking about the Jules Feiffer here. I'm a great fan of his (even his plays, many of which were quite badly received). I'll try emailing him and will keep you informed if I get a response.

My favorite quote from THE COMIC BOOK HEROES:

"Why is it that for all of her vaunted Amazon power, I could never imagine Wonder Woman lasting one round with Sheena, Queen of the Jungle?"

Good question!

C'mon, WW would kick Sheena's butt 5 ways to Sunday!  Not that I wouldn't pay to see it.
