Sure, you stick with that story.

This brings up an interesting thought, however...how DOES Superman know what time it is?  He can't wear a watch on his wrist without it looking goofy, he has no pockets for a pocket watch.  So what does he do?  Do his powers include "Super Time Awareness"?

Then again, maybe it doesn't matter.  If he's ever late for anything, he can always reverse time with that globe-spinning routine.

Superman's superbrain easily keeps track of what time it is.  He knows exactly how many seconds it takes him to do something as well.

I'm sure if he ever got flustered, his hearing or vision would pick up a watch.  Like all professionals, Clark wears a watch and so it must be supercompressed in the pocket of Superman's cape.
