When is a planet not a planet?
When it's a dwarf planet.
According to the new definition, a "dwarf planet" is categorically NOT a planet. Which makes no sense to me. If something isn't a planet, it shouldn't be called a (whatever)-planet, it should be called a mega-asteroid, or some other term that doesn't actually include the word "planet."
Based on the new terms used, "dwarf planets" should be considered a sub-set of planets, not a completely separate set. Which would mean that there are now 11 planets in the Solar System; 3 of which are dwarf planets.
