Have you noticed? The writers seemed to be utterly obsessed with radium all through the golden age... Including in the 'Quick quiz' sections'... I know this was the beginning of the atomic age, but it crops up every other issue...

When is a planet not a planet?

When it's a dwarf planet.

According to the new definition, a "dwarf planet" is categorically NOT a planet.  Which makes no sense to me.  If something isn't a planet, it shouldn't be called a (whatever)-planet, it should be called a mega-asteroid, or some other term that doesn't actually include the word "planet."

Based on the new terms used, "dwarf planets" should be considered a sub-set of planets, not a completely separate set.  Which would mean that there are now 11 planets in the Solar System; 3 of which are dwarf planets.

Well, up to a while ago there were still 9 official planets... which were the standard in 1986, so I guess we should not fret about the 'new' definitions...


About elements, there are a lot of them that are not named... for example, one of the first amnesia stories (there sure are a lot, should there be an entry?), superman hits an asteroid and loses his memory... which was later rewritten and now superman gets near the red-gold kryptonite... and loses his memory. But was the original red-gold kryptonite? It wasn't established...  And there some great exotic unnamed materials, and rays...
