There is a new show on Canadian cable network TVtropolis.  Mostly a dumping ground for old sitcom and gameshow reruns, the network also has some original programming.

Fanatical is a new series that profiles fans.  I know they've done a Trekkie ep but the only one I've seen is about Batman.  A great show about an ex-heavy metal singer who does the convention circuit as Adam West Batman and is totally charming and always in character.  Also profiles of a costume recreator and a guy who sells his very well-done Batman drawings on ebay and shows off his collection of toys.  Also includes a hotel party of messageboard nerds (fans of 1966 Batman TV).  Just like us!

Maybe you can download the episode somehow but for now all that I could find is the clip available on the homepage:

That ex-rocker Batman is Scott Sebring, a super-nice and very talented LA-based fan who helps moderate the 1966 Batman Message Boards (http://www.66batman.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl).  He also runs the uber-cool "Batfriend" website, packed with lots of multimedia goodies (http://www.batfriend.com).

It's been kind of fun to be on the boards as Scott's gone from a typical fan with dreams of having his own '66-accurate costume to the "Adam West impersonator of choice" for Batmobile creator Chuck Barris and other luminaries.  Scott does a dead-on impersonation of Adam's voice and he really understands the spirit of the show (and the importance of heroes to kids).  I haven't seen this "Fanatical" show yet, but anything that brings attention to Scott is cool with me.

Yes, he seems very sincere and the voice is great.  Seeing him interact with kids and even other fans (especially at the party for the message board members) was a treat, very earnest and graceful.
