Hi all:

I just posted this 1933 Thanksgiving cartoon on my blog that Joe Shuster did for his high school newspaper, The Torch, essentially 73 years ago today (the day before Thanksgiving).  Not strictly Superman (more like Ollie Hardy) but thought it would be nice to see it re-appear on the same day, so many years later.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Brad

Superman's creators are always related!

Thank you for that comic, I never seen it before and happy turkey day! Grin

That's a cool cartoon, shows lots of Joe and how he drew children...

Correct me if I'm wrong but they don't have a Superman balloon anymore do they?  That's what I thought but I could be wrong.

If I am right, well that's just downright un-American!

Thanks -- glad everyone liked it.  I think this little cartoon says a lot about Joe's personality, too.  Has that little spark of fun in it that his Superman does.  I'll post more soon.

And I COMPLETELY agree -- no Superman float is just wrong.  I thought for sure with everything going on this year they would finally make a new one, but I guess not.  Maybe we'll have to wait until the SuperGrover one gets retired...

Happy Thanksgiving,
Brad

I really liked that float picture so I dug through some stuff to find this one, which is actually from a film I have.  See who's coming up behind him?  Smiley

Although we already had Thanksgiving back in October here in Canada, I thought I'd chime in and say Happy T-day to the Yanks on the board!
